The short-lived (2004 - 2007) RKS line of guitars and basses were the most expensively-designed guitars in history. Several years in development at a cost well into seven figures these instruments debuted to glowing reviews by professional players (Traffic’s Dave Mason was one of principals on the design team).
This bass was one of the last handmade versions they produced (RKS began producing lower-line models around 2006 as the handmade versions were quite costly)
